Puppy Groom

Grooming should be a daily or weekly (depends on the breed) routine for  you and your dog, including regular visits to a professional groomer. This groom is suitable for puppies from 12 weeks to one year. Starting your puppy with a grooming routine from a young age is very important in order to help them feel relaxed during their experience. During their groom it is taken completely at their own pace, as the noises in the salon from the dryer, to being in the bath can be overwhelming for a puppy, so I aim to make it as fun, and enjoyable experience as possible.  45 minutes to one hour appointment (NOT a full groom)

This service includes:

-Time to take in their surroundings and settle

-A brush through with a soft brush, to get them used to it

-A warm bath with gentle puppy shampoo and conditioner

-Towel and gentle blow dry

-Trim around feet, eyes and face

-Finish with a lovely smelling dog perfume

Full Groom

This service includes:

-Ear cleaning and Nail trim

- A warm bath with deep cleaning, high quality shampoo and conditioner

-Towel and blow dry

-Blast of the coat which helps remove old built up hair, Comb and brush through

-Styling, either clipping or scissoring

-Finish with a lovely smelling dog perfume

If your dog is very matted, there will be an additional charge for extra time taken as this is a tricky job that requires extra care and attention.

Hand Strip - Wire hair coat

This service includes:

-Ear cleaning and Nail trim

- A warm bath with deep cleaning, high quality shampoo and conditioner

-Towel and blow dry

-Blast of the coat which helps remove old built up hair, Comb and brush through

-Styling by Hand stripping

-Finish with a coat conditioning spray

Particularly suitable for terrier breeds such as Border Terrier, Westie and Airedale.

What is Hand stripping? hand stripping involves pulling out the dead outer coat of a wired haired or rough coated breeds by hand. Rather than cutting the hair with clippers, this allows a new 'harsh' wire coat to grow in. Hand stripping maintains a proper wire coat, while clipping makes it soft and ruins the texture. Without the outer wire coat, the coat colour will change and fade out.

This is a time consuming process so please bring your dog in to ask for a quote.

10 Reasons your Dog's hair cut costs more than yours...

10. Your hairdresser doesn't wash and dry your whole body.

9. You don't go for 8 weeks without washing or bushing your hair.

8. Your hairdresser doesn't have to give you a sanitary trim.

7. Your hairdresser doesn't have to clean your ears.

6. Your hairdresser doesn't have to clean boogies from your eyes.

5. You sit still for your hairdresser.

4. Your hairdresser doesn't include a manicure and pedicure.

3. Your hairdresser only washes and cuts the hair on your head.

2. You don't bite or scratch your hairdresser. (at least I hope not)

And the number 1 reason your dog's haircut coats more then yours...

1. The likelihood of you pooping or peeing while your hair is being cut is extremely slim.
